Bob Atkins

Producer

 

Bob earned a B.S. degree in Marketing at Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tenn.  He began working in 1961 in the mailroom, advertising department and composing room at the Clarksville Leaf-Chronicle daily newspaper which became part of Middle Tennessee Publishing Company along with the Gallatin News Examiner, The Hendersonville Star News, The Robertson County Times and several other newspapers including The Gospel Voice Magazine, which he co-founded in 1987.

 

After 37 years, Bob retired in 1998 as senior executive of the Gannett Company, Inc., president and publisher of Middle Tennessee Publishing Company and co-executive producer of the TNN/Music City News Country Awards Show.
