After receiving his M.S. Degree from Appalachian State University in 1976, Chuck began a 25-year career with Blue Bell, Inc. and later VF Corporation.  After managing functions such as recruiting and the hourly pension plan, as well as several employee relations and generalist functions, Chuck was named Vice President of Human Resources for Red Kap Industries in 1992.  He held this position until April of 2001.  His experience includes managing and negotiating benefit and insurance plans for a company in excess of 10,000 employees.  He also managed the integration of six different acquisition companies into this corporation.

McPherson also has experience with implementation of benefit programs including ASO, self-funded programs including Medical and Workers Compensation, retirement programs both Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution, section 125 cafeteria programs as well as life, dental and disability programs.  His background includes compensation as well as risk management.  Chuck has an understanding of the client’s perspective.
