Stephen has an extensive background in sales and insurance services, providing the best service possible to each and every client he works with. He started his career in 1995 as an account executive with G.S. Express, Inc. selling warehouse and transportation services for a company in Nashville, Tenn. He worked his way up through the company to the level of vice president of operations by elevating the company’s sales year over year and later became responsible for bringing in national accounts.

 

Stephen transitioned to Aflac in 2002 where he started as an agent and built his career up to the level of district manager working with multiple insurance brokers and agents within the company to procure new clients and help with servicing and enrolling accounts. Because of his extensive sales and insurance background, Stephen began working with W.E. Shaw & Associates in 2006 as an independent contractor. He started by helping enroll and service existing Aflac clients and introducing Aflac as an added benefit to new clients.  Stephen came on as a partner with W.E. Shaw & Associates in August 2010 and is now a managing partner with the company.

 

Stephen is a member of the Hendersonville Chamber of Commerce and continues to further his career by working on insurance accreditations.  He lives in Hendersonville, Tenn. with his family and enjoys all activities his two daughters participate in, including playing and coaching soccer and water and snow skiing.
